Rosso Solini was awarded the prestigious award of Mini-Company of the Year 2011 at the County Final held in the Osprey Hotel Naas on Monday 14th March 2011. Ross Solini is a mini-company set up by student Tara Haughton, who attends Cross & Passion College, Kilcullen.
Rosso Solini's product is designer soles for shoes. Tara came up with the idea of the "secret soles" while at a family wedding. She discovered that one of the wedding designers was using red contact to decorate two tables. Unknown to her she had walked on it and had red contact stuck to her shoe, until it was brought to her attention and hey presto, she came up with the idea of making soles for shoes.
Rosso Solini will now go on to represent Kildare at the National Finals to be held in Croke Park on the 14th April 2011.
