Google, Blacknight, An Post and the County & City Enterprise Boards have come together to create Getting Irish Business Online. We're taking the time, hassle and cost out of getting a website so that you can get on with running your business.

Kildare County Enterprise Board are now recruiting businesses to participate on a training programme of three hours duration after which they will have a live website. There are no restrictions on the type of business that can avail of this initiative. The aim is to provide all businesses, regardless of size, with the opportunity to have an online presence.
In order to have a .ie domain, companies will need to have the following:
- Have a business registration number, CRO number or VAT number ready.
- Ensure that the applicant name, business name and VAT or RBN number you apply with match the details on your business documentation! Any discrepency between these details will result in your .ie application being deleted.
- .com and .eu domains do not need these details.
- If you do not have a business cert then you should register a business name at the following site www.cro.ie
As part of this Initiative, small business owners / self employed persons will be able to have an online presence by building their own website. Training courses are provided to assist people and guide them through a number of simple steps to build the website. The following training courses are currently available in Kildare.

To book your place on the training course, you can download the registration form and return to this office with a cheque to cover the course fee or alternatively you can book online
Terms & Conditions
- Participants must have a registered business, with either a CRO number and / or a VAT number.
- Business must be based in Kildare.
- An Irish mobile number and a web based email address (i.e. gmail.com, eircom.net, yahoo.ie etc) are required.
- Please note that this "Free Website" Initiative is not available / suitable for those that have already registered a domain name.
